"Full of Empowerment Wow. Just. Wow. This show is filled with four powerful and outstanding actresses. The first show blew me away. I enjoyed Lady M. as well, but felt it wasn’t as powerful as Glass. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, and I am leaving telling you it is a must see."
-Aimee Micek (5 stars)
"So timely. Two short stories about female empowerment and society's suppression, acted out beautifully by a talented cast of 4 diverse women. I especially loved the first play Glass as it was visually so compelling with the actresses barely walking, so each step they took was a major moment/choice. The playwright Lindsey Bushnell created a powerful piece about women being suppressed and yearning for freedom (though fearing the unknown of it as well), that really spoke to me, even though it was in a more absurdist style than I typically watch. Really compelling and the companion piece Lady M had some powerful moments as well. This is in a tiny venue outside of the Fringe center radius, but worth the drive."

ABOUT GLASS & LADY M.
Glass by Lindsey Bushnell
Described by its playwright Lindsey Bushnell as “A Feminist Absurdist Play,” Glass is set in a dystopian world where four women are psychologically trapped and controlled behind glass by an unseen Man. Each woman is an archetype--nurturer (Apple Woman), housekeeper (Sweeping Woman), mother (Rocking Woman), and woman obsessed with body image (Too Woman)--and each has her own views of escape. Glass tackles gender, economic, and societal issues faced by women throughout the centuries.
Lady M. Conceived by Martha B. Johnson
Conceived by Martha B. Johnson, Lady M. is a reimagining of Lady Macbeth’s iconic sleepwalking scene (“Out, damned spot”) from Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Using mythical and ritualistic theatrical techniques, this piece re-envisions Lady Macbeth’s profound remorse and guilt as a wake-up call for America to similarly acknowledge the problematic nature of American history, and to feel the humanizing power of remorse.
