Sara Pillatzki-Warzeha: A theatre director, scholar, and educator, Sara is an enrolled member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate from the Big Coulee District. Currently completing her PhD in Theatre Historiography, Sara's research focuses on intercultural collaborations between Indigenous artists and PWIs, theorizing paths forward for safer, more ethical participation for Native theatre makers who enter into collaborative creative spaces. She currently teaches at St. Olaf College, and has also taught at UMN Morris and Northern State University. She serves on the Native Advisory Council at the Guthrie Theatre and has worked on many Native written or led works as a director, dramaturg, and scholar with companies such as the Jungle Theatre, the Stratford Festival, New Native Theatre, the Guthrie, Stages Theatre Company, New Harlem, UMN, and St. Olaf College. Other favorite directing credits include High Fidelity the Musical (Minneapolis Musical Theatre), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (St. Olaf College), Fly By Night (Northern Fort Playhouse), and Men on Boats (UMN).
