Welcomes to the World of Full Circle Theater!

We welcome you to our world of theater where we are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!  As you can see from our Mission and Core Value statements, we are focused on theater-making that engages artists and audiences around the issues of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). We can serve as a model for how to “walk the talk” of EDI through the consensus driven decision-making and creative process.

We welcome you to join us on this journey of living the creative process that involves diverse and differing perspectives and experiences of our artists.  We aren’t waiting for someone else to make this change; we are living it and breathing life and energy into an inclusive process for creativity.

We welcome you to join us in this theater endeavor to Be The Change!

A Brief History.

Inspired to create a newly envisioned Equity, Diversity, Inclusion-driven company, original Founders/Co-Artistic Directors Rick Shiomi and Martha B. Johnson began Full Circle’s journey in 2014, after Rick served as Artistic Director for Theater Mu for 20 years,  and after Martha served with Rick on Theater Mu’s  Core Group and taught and directed plays at Augsburg University for many years. They invited three distinguished artists of diverse identities, Lara Trujillo, Stephanie Lein Walseth, and James A. Williams to join with them in creating Full Circle’s original consensus-driven Core Artist Group to carry out all FC’s major artistic decisions.

Full Circle Theater Company has now staged 6 productions and established a reputation for high artistic quality and deep commitment to EDI, earning community recognition and critical praise, and attracting and meaningfully engaging diverse audiences.
